So this is my attempt at being semi-healthy, minus the buttery honey-mayonnaise sauce part. It's colorful and I'm pretty sure it's gluten free - that has to count for something. At least it's not a big bowl of buttered noodles. Am I right? I'm sure you can substitute some sort of greek yogurt for the mayo that I used and make it even healthier. I bet there are lots of ways to "clean" this recipe up....but, here's how I made it.
I've never been a big fan of grapes, but they were in my fridge from when I had friends over a couple weeks ago, and I didn't want to waste them so I decided to pair them with bacon and cheese and welp, the rest is history.
Until recently, I didn't really eat brie a whole lot, because there are just so many different kind of cheeses out there that I sometimes tend to forget about one after I haven't eaten in in a while. Now that brie has come back into my life, I've been eating it non-stop. My favorite way to eat it is with honey and pretzel sticks. But I wanted to do something fun and different so I attempted baking it for the first time (instead of zapping it in the microwave.)
I used 8 oz of brie and that's def enough for 2-3 people. If you're trying to feed more that that, I would just buy a larger brie wheel add more grapes and bacon into the recipe and you'll be good. The whole thing took me about 20 minutes so it's easy to whip up!
What you'll need:
What to do:
Obviously, I love pasta. I usually picky about what kind of tomato sauce I use, I like simple brands of really realllllllly plain sauce and I usually mix it in with butter and season it with salt.
I seasoned this sauce with different kinds of herbs and lots of garlic (since that's what Chrissy Teigen does - I've been using her cookbook as a bible lately.) I love spicy things - so for this kitchen experiment, I added crushed red pepper flakes into my sauce, and also vodka. I feel like vodka compliments the red pepper spiciness, and makes tomato sauce a little less thick. Since there are chunky-ish tomatoes in it, the sauce tends to seem thicker, so the vodka sort of events it all out.
In a perfect world, more things would have vodka in them because well.. vodka is fun.
Guess who got a new menu?! The Hilton Cleveland's restaurant, The Burnham has tons of new and delicious menu items, and it's own Instagram account to showcase it all.
I was asked to come in and photograph their new menu and I got to taste test most of it. New items include Chicken and the fluffiest waffles ever, BLT pizza, sweet potato pancakes, salmon and many more glorious things. Also, the team was nice enough to share their pimento cheese dip recipe with everyone, you can find out how to make it below!
